De Wildt Helpmekaar Company (DWHC) is a community based organisation that focuses on making desired improvements to the De Wildt community's social health, well-being, and overall functioning. Various short, medium, and long-term projects are in place aimed at community development, community empowerment, community building, and community representation on local, provincial and national government level, as well as various relevant boards and other structures.

It also has a strong commitment to protect and promote the rural lifestyle. Through constant communication with the community the company has a very good understanding of the needs, resources and capacities within the community. Further to this, because the company is community driven, it functions on a much more efficient level of service delivery than for instance bureaucratic government departments.
